The food scene around The Old Court House is absolutely bonkers—Pots and Pieces, just a hop away, serves tapas that had me dreaming of Spain! The room was quirky yet comfy, and that lovely garden area added a touch of charm to my stay.

While the room was a bit of a ramble, and the radiator decided to take a holiday, it didn’t dull the experience too much. The place was quiet and did feel like a hidden gem, even if I had to keep the heating on my wish list.

The breakfast options were delicious, cooked to order and really set the tone for the day.

The steep 32 stone steps leading to the room were quite a challenge, especially while carrying luggage.

The shower rooms are tight, some guests struggled to fit comfortably. Stairs to the rooms are steep, adding to the challenge for those with heavy luggage. Clutter and visibility of staff areas might detract from the overall charm, as it feels a bit unkempt.
